Every tourist dreams to see the Eiffel tower in Paris, hike through Machu Picchu, and hold up the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Dreams that are being happily fulfilled by EF year after year. However, now we aren’t satisfied with the normal tourist experience. We want you to catch and cook a Mahi Mahi with the local fisherman, drink some mead with the castle guard, and hike the magical trails you never knew existed. For the ultimate break, EF believes that going off the beaten path can be the most rewarding and immersive experience that we will now offer to all willing adventurers.

Ultimate Hunt Feature
On days that our adventurers have off in between traveling cities, EF will offer a chance to participate in the Ultimate Hunt: a scavenger hunt of underrated locations and hidden gems inside the city. EF will provide an app with clues based on geographic location, riddles, and certain locals. If the adventurer finds all of the locations, then they can get a cool souvenir and gift cards as a reward. Although the prizes are cool, the exploration of hidden gems is what truly takes our tourists off the beaten path.
When trying to explore a new place, there is nothing better than having a friend who knows the place like the back of their hand. This app feature will pair up EF travelers with locals based on matching interests. If you don’t know how to get off the beaten path, your new buddy certainly will!
Local Buddy Feature
Every adventurer needs a care package when going off the beaten path. EF will partner with local artisans and fashion brands to create customizable and personalized care packages for everyone on the ultimate break.
This could include a journal to document the adventure, local jewelry, tote bags, and clothing, each made personally to help immerse you fully into the culture.
